The 4th of July

Fireworks displays in and around New York. While it was very disappointing to learn that we would not be able to see the fireworks from Brooklyn this year. We still will find a way to view the fireworks show. We are all heading over to the west side. We will view from a friends rooftop.

Its seems that it will be good for businesses on the west side. We found a few places to visit and aid in the economy by spending money at their businesses. lol

Where to go?

It seems like the following spots will not be open to the public for viewing the fireworks: Battery Park, Battery Park City, Hudson River Piers, the Hudson Park Promenade between West Houston and 59th Streets, the Intrepid as well as the Hudson River Park Bike Path between West House-ton and 59th Streets.

I hope this is a once in a while thing. We would like to have the display on both rivers. Maybe next year.
